i think an explanation is in order...
where can i begin?
you may have noticed a certain lack of activity on the blog as of late. i won't lie: the trend will likely continue for a good week or so. truth of the matter is, life here in brisbane is fairly comfortable for us now -- and who wants to read about how i make peanut butter and jelly english muffins each morning and use a new deoderant? hopefully none of you.
we've all been slightly busy with our midterm studying. al and shehz moreso than yours truly. i was under the impression that i only had one, but got some fantastic news last week when i was told indeed i have TWO! looks like i'll have to get my act together here...
to give you a taste of what you've missed in the past two weeks or so:
we went to the movies
we took out the garbage
we baked canadian banana cake and macaroni and cheese
we walked around
we attended a hair party, and other less-savoury parties
we celebrated a friend's birthday
we did the dishes (more than once)
we perfected our australian accents
we sat in our respective rooms and chatted with each other via msn
we played the didgeridoo
we danced
we loved
we lived
...aren't those last three poetic (if not a tad melodramatic)?
fear not though -- we shall have fantastic pictures and text to follow as we take part in a few upcoming adventures. this weekend will probably be a little dull. what of next weekend, you ask? sydney, my friends. home of bondi beach. home of the opera house. home of the harbour. and guess who's attending the house party?! your intrepid canuck adventurers, that's who.
after that, it's scuba certification time. things get confusing as the boys split up and shehz and i go for the 5 day diving course while al stays occupied with his own schedule. regardless, you know we'll manage to capture the moments with photos that will make you feel emotions you didn't know existed. and that's a promise. or at least a guideline.
i know it must be hard for you to return to this page hourly, only to find the same information staring you back in the face. but no worries, we're all alive and well and ready to take on our next adventure.
we'll let you know how it goes.
